Lack of data: There is no data to confirm the safety of skelaxin (metaxalone) in pregnant or nursing mothers. It is unknown if it is excreted in breast milk or crosses the placenta. Pfizer the manufacturer recommends against both. http://labeling.pfizer.com/showlabeling.aspx?id=689.
