It depends: If you are a first-time parent, it can be challenging to interpret a child's behavior and feel comfortable that you are reading the situation correctly. Changes in behavior, persistent fussiness, persistent fever, new rash, poor eating/food refusal, persistent diarrhea or vomiting would all be concerning enough for an urgent visit.
