Dextromethorphan: Dextromethorphan is present in many otc cough preparations, such as robitussin, (guaifenesin) delsym a& bentylin dm to name a few. If your cough persists longer than 3 weeks, see your physician.

I have had a fever from 100 to 104 for the past 4 days, after two trips to urgent care I did not have influenza a or b, it is a viral infection and respiratory infection. I was given cough syrup with codine and have been alternating motrin and tylenol.
