Mole Removal: Iodine placed on a mole will not cause the mole to fall off. The only way to remove a mole correctly is surgical excision.

Iodine won't remove: A mole cannot be removed with iodine. A dermatologist or facial plastic surgeon can determine the best option for more removal that will leave minimal scar tissue. I hope this information is helpful. Stephen weber, M.D., f.A.C.S. Lone tree facial plastic surgeon.
