Wines: Many, if not all, wines contain sulfites/sulfur dioxide to maintain freshness. Sulfites are generally harmless, unless u suffer from severe asthma or don't have enzymes necessary to break down sulfites. Amount of sulfites in wines is highly regulated. Red wine has less so2 than white. Tannins (reds) & histamines more likely causes of problems, if not the alcohol itself.
