Is it safe to take streptokinase while pregnant?

Maybe: Strepokinase is not tested in pregnancy, but when it is being given (heart attack, stroke) it is generally to save a life, so the risk/benefit may be in favor of using it. Hopefully this will never be needed in pregnancy.

??streptokinase??: Streptokinase is an enzyme made by some strep germs & not used medicinally in any product i'm aware of. If consumed it is likely broken down during digestion & rendered inert.Streptomycin is a vintage antibiotic that is rarely used today but is considered a category d or dangerous when used in pregnancy.

category c: The medication is pregnancy category c which means there are no studies and the use of this clot dissolving med in pregnancy is when its benefits may outweigh any risks.
