Many possibilities: Could be a plugged oil gland or small epidermal cyst that has become inflamed, hence the itching. Try over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream twice a day, and if the itching persists, see your doctor or a dermatologist.

So many things: There are so many things from allergies to eczema to infections to worse that can cause this. See a doctor if this is bothering to get a true diagnosis and treatment. Best of luck!
