Wrapping the stomach: A fundoplication is wrapping the top of the stomach (fundus) around and attaching it to itself. It can be a partial wrap (toupet fundoplication) or a complete wrap (nissen fundoplication). It is usually used to treat esophageal reflux (gerd).
