Wrap for reflux: A nissen fundoplication is an operation for reflux. It is usually done laparoscopically. First, if a hiatal hernia is present, it is repaired. The upper portion of the stomach (fundus) is then wrapped around the esophagus forming a 360 degree valve that controls reflux.
