Passage for urine.: The canal through which urine exits the bladder, discharging the urine externally. In men, it is about 20-cm long with a membranous, prostatic, bulbar, and pendulous segments ending at the glans penis; it gives passage to the spermatic fluid as well as urine. In the female, the urethra is about 4 cm long & in close relation with the anterior wall of the vagina.
