Substance changer: An enzyme causes the transformation of a compoond to another compound. In living structures, it is the transformation of a protein to another form. An example is from an inactive state to an active state.

Enzymes: Are large biological molecules respom nsible for the thousands of chemical interconversions that sustain life. They are highly selective catalysts, greatly accelerating the rate & specificity of metabolic reactions, such as the digestion of food. Most enzymes are proteins.
