Possible stye: An inflamed oil gland can present with new pain of an eyelid with swelling sometimes without a "lump". I would try warm compresses three times a day and see your physician if it does not improve soon.

Likely a stye: Sometimes the lump is so small that the swelling blocks it, or maybe it has not gotten big enough to see, but most likely you have a stye. Start with hot compresses 3 times daily. It is also possible that you have something stuck on the inside of your eyelid that is causing your symptoms. If it is very small, you may need an eye doctor to take a look.
