What happens to your ability to concentrate after a concussion?

Gets better in time: Many people with concussions have difficulty concentrating. Most heal within a few weeks, but some have problems for months. Brain rest is essential. Stressing your brain by reading, doing school work or difficult mental tasks significantly slows healing. Work closely with your doctor to develop a treatment plan.

Decreases: After a concussion, you will probably have less ability to concentrate, but it should not be permanent.
