A member asked:

I pumped for the 1st time & noticed bubbles, i thought it was normal but now this time no bubbles. my baby is 4 days old, is she ok if it was dishsoap?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably air: First, yes, dish soap, while not known for it's nutrition is generally safe or it wouldn't be on dishes. That said, the first time you pump, you usually don't get much production, and air may have entered the system causing the bubbles. Later pumping may get better flow and less air interruption. Either way, your baby will be fine.
