Are any tests or screenings optional in pregnancy?

Yes: The only ones that are mandatory (and this depends on the state you live in) are hiv, syphilis, rubella, and hepatitis.

Pernatal care option: Prenatal care is optional & many chose to avoid it & except the consequences. If you are looking into a source of prenatal care, you can ask the office crew what the program offered through that practice entails. Some are more flexible than others. Often you can visit the offices & interview with staff at no charge. Select a provider based on what you are comfortable with.
