A member asked:

How good is light therapy for helping with insomnia?

Poor: Light therapy is not a good treatment for insomnia. It is typically used in circacadian rhythm disturbances (ie delayed or advanced phase sleep syndrome) but not in insomnia. Please do not try using light therapy without the supervision of a sleep physician because you can greatly affect/harm your sleep/wake cycle.

Not very likely: Normally light therapy is used for circadian issues or depression. Insomnia responds better to cognitive behavioral therapy.
