Possibly hypothyroid: One of the effects of guggul (commiphora mukul) is that it may stimulate the thyroid. Therefore if the problem is that the thyroid is not working well (hypothyroid) it could possibly help. More studies are needed for this usage.

Yes, but....: Guggul is a thyroid stimulant so it may help with hypothyroidism and not so much for hyperthyroidism. The main thing is to see your family physician and get the right diagnosis, once medically treated then using guggul may help keep the thyroid more stable.
