Portal vein thrombus: Cirrhosis (scarring of the liver with irreversible liver damage, from alcohol or viral hepatitis or fatty liver or other causes) increases the risk of a clot in the portal vein which can cause bleeding from dilated veins (varices) in the esophagus or stomach. Cancers including of the liver (hepatocellular carcinoma, which can be a complication of cirrhosis) can increase the risk of blood clots.

Yes: Liver cancer can increase the risk of blood clot formation. Also, there is an entity called budd-chiari syndrome, which is a condition caused by blockage, such as clotting, of the hepatic veins. this blockage in turn can cause liver damage. it presents with abdominal pain, fluid in abdomen and enlarged liver.
