What questions should a person ask the doctor about minimally invasive heart surgery?

Outcome data: I would ask about their numbers. I would find out how often they perform the "minimally invasive" surgery in their center, what their outcomes look like. I would also find out what their goals are, for example are they doing this because they can at least promise a quicker recovery or less post-op pain, or is it just the smaller resulting scar? Find out the surgeon's rationale for doing this.

Results: Ask how many procedures they have done, what there results have been, where they dd their training for example.
