Ask your doctor: The best surgeon is hard too define. Ask yourself which condition requires what type o treatment? Has the person done sufficient number of procedure? Hoe have these cases gone? Ask nurses and doctors and if possible some ptients about their opinion of the individual surgeon.

Be data driven!: Cardiac surgeons participate in a national database sponsored by the society of thoracic surgeons (www.Sts.Org) which compares different cardiac surgical programs based on adherence to protocols and outcomes. I recommend any patient facing cardiac surgery to discuss this data with any prospective cardiac surgeon, if possible.

Cardiac Eval: Look, of course I do not know you, but unless you are 9 ft tall, 343 is probably way overweight. The best way to find your answer would be to see a cardiologist and have a good cardiac evaluation, probably including a stress test and echocardiogram. They could then give you a rational program of exercise to help improve your health and/or make other suggestions.

Dr. Jason Bodzin
General Surgery 51 years experience
Short stay bathroom: Hemorrhoids are often caused by straining at he stool for prolonged times. The simple way to get rid of them is to not read magazines or similar activities while on the toilet. 1-2 minutes should be enough. If the hemorrhoids are caused by pregnancy, they should disappear or become asymptomatic after delivery. The main treatment is to avoid straining.
