What is a timeline for putting in a pacemaker?

Often nonurgent: The urgency of pacemaker implantation depends on the severity of the underlying slow heart rhythm it is aimed at treating. It's rare that slow heart rates are so profound as to cause dangerously low blood pressures, but obviously if that is the case it is an emergency. Many times the symptoms are mild, and one can schedule it electively within a few days to a week.

Symptoms: Symptoms associated with heat block is the most common indication. Once the need is identified, the timeline is usually within the next few days.
