Blood pressure cuff: Blood pressure is measured using a blood pressure cuff (sphygmomanometer). This can be done in a doctor's office or a pharmacy. You can also do-it-yourself with a home blood pressure cuff that can be purchased at almost any pharmacy.

BP machine...: You can get an automatic blood pressure machine at your local pharmacy for less than $50. Many pharmacies also have a stationary BP machine chair where you can check it. Realize that BP varies greatly throughout the day and can be impacted by many variables. So if your BP is good at home, in the comfort, familiarity and calmness of your home, it may not be good at your doctor's office. Keep record.
