Possible reasons...: Some hospitals have eecp machines and technicians in the U.S.. There may be reasons why not more machines are available. Maybe some cardiologists don't believe the treatments produce much benefit. Perhaps there are not many patients eligible who are also at low risk for complications of eecp. Maybe the possible complications are worrisome. If interested, one can consult his cardiologist.

EECP: Eecp is not very effective and is useful primarily when all the better options do not give the patient enough symptom relief. As such, despite aggressive marketing it hasn't been very popular. It has been around since the 1970's.
