Pfizer's new anti-COVID drug (trade name Paxlovid) apparently is highly effective based on news reports, but the research has not not yet been published. FDA is evaluating the data for emergency use authorization (EUA) to be available by prescription. Reportedly Pfizer is already manufacturing and distributing the drug, but probably it will be several weeks until it is widely available.
