With scabies, the longer you wait, the longer you itch! it is also highly contagious and you risk spreading it around. Unlike head lice, scabies has not developed resistance to its established treatment, prescription topical Permethrin 5% also called Elimite or Acticin (permethrin) (here in the United States).
