If : If it is causing problems for her including pain with exercise or sitting, it is certainly appropriate to do it now. It is quite simple and can be done in the office procedure room with oral sedation taken ahead of time and local anesthetic injection. Often a cold spray is used prior to the injection to minimize discomfort. It is not necessary to suffer for three years before getting this problem fixed.

As : As long as your daughter is suffering and you understand the condition and treatment involved, there is no reason why she can't have labiaplasty. Good luck from nyc. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.

Definitely: It sounds like your daughter suffers from functional impairment due to her medical condition. She should be evaluated by a plastic surgeon who is comfortable doing labiaplasty on adolescent girls. In miami it is very common to have this addressed as young as 15 for congenital hypertrophy. Good luck. *** www.Arthurmd.Com *** miami, fl ***.

Controversial: Performing such a sensitive operation at such a young age is controversial. This is not standard. If her doctor actually recommended it, that makes for a stronger case. Certainly she should want it for herself at the very least and there should be a functional problem that is warranting surgery at such a young age.
