Extra : Extra strength Acetaminophen may work for you and is safe on the stomach and kidneys in doses below 3000 milligrams a day. Naproxen (like aleve) may work well for you if Excedrin did. If your headaches are frequent and not relieved by these meds, check with your doctor to be sure you have nothing serious. You also may find there are better ways to treat or even prevent those headaches.
