What should be done? my fiance is getting the taste of blood in his mouth and on his left side just above the hip he is getting a pain that goes from a 4 (on a scale of 1-10) to a 9. he says it feels like someone is stabbing him. what should he do?

I : I am not sure what is causing this constellation of symptoms. From the description, I am wondering if this is in ther area of the kidney (which can present with abdominal, genital or back pain) I am answering this 3 days after you wrote in. Is he having pain with urination, blood in urine, cloudy urine? If he having constipation or diarrhea? Nausea or vomiting. Since writing in, has the pain worsened or resolved?
