Vesalius: Well not sure he was the first but andreas vesalius gave one of the first descriptions of abdominal aortic aneurysm in the 1500's.

Sir Astley Cooper: Sir astley cooper in 1817 was the first one to ligate aortic bifurcation in a patient with ruptured iliac artery aneurysm. He was a student of john hunter. The patient died soon after surgery.
