Is there something serious wrong? what might be wrong with a male (34) who works too hard and drinks too much. he is vomiting blood, having trouble eating due to pain, has shortness of breath and headaches very regularly?

Yes. : Yes. There is something seriously wrong. He is heavy drinker who is vomiting blood and has difficulty breathing. He needs to medically evaluated asap. He also needs to stop drinking alcohol if he vomits blood. This is a recipe for disaster.
