A member asked:

I found a small black spot on my tongue. it is on the tip of my tongue and a little to the right. it is very small, the size of a taste buds. why is it there? also, what is it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Difficult : Difficult to say without seeing it, but something that small and unifocal may be a vascular "bud" (capillary plexus) near or part of your taste bud that looks dark to you. Fungal or yeast problems tend to be more diffuse.
