No, : No, but... If you over use them, you may get tooth sensitivity or you may "burn" your gums. They are safe to us, even a couple of times in a row. Get 1 box and use them and let your teeth adjust. If you want them whiter, get another box. Fyi: the whitestrips your dentist sells are 2x as strong as the over-the-counter version. Over the years, I have had a few women become "addicted" to the whitestrips, where they do it 1x-2x per year with no adverse reation. Be careful and get a dental check-up first to make sure you have no cavities. The whitening agent can cause tooth pain if decay is present.

Whitening : Whitening your teeth with over the counter products will never help you as much as the system your dentist may offer you, the "one hour in office system" and the "take home kit with custom trays" the concentration of the active ingredient could be 4 to 5 times stronger then those srips sold in any convenient store. None of these products will damage your teeth.

Ok For younger adult: They work well for younger adults with minimal darkness to their teeth. For older, heavily stained teeth, professional dentist supplied whitening treatment (in-office zoom! or take home trays) works the best. I have found the best results with kor system which, costs more, includes 2 in-office light activated treatments and very well constructed take home trays. A well designed system.

No : Whitening strips are coated with hydrogen peroxide, the active ingredient to whiten your teeth, and is not considered to be harmful to your teeth or body.
