At : At your age it's normal to have irregular periods. If they continue to be heavy and unpredictable then talk to your pediatrician about birth control pills for the sole purpose of controlling your cycle.

Premenstrual spottin: Yes, it is completely normal to spot prior to your period. If you spot between your periods, this could be ovulatory spotting or a uterine polyp.

This may: and probably is a normal variation HOWEVER you may be anemic so I suggest you see your Primary Care Provider for a blood test.... the color may represent"old blood" or you may be having "an-ovulatory" (NO EGG RELEASE) periods..so if the blood tests are OK check with your GYN!
