DO NOT DO IT: Any significant head injury, especially one involving a skull fracture, is taking grave risk if goes to or stays at high altitude. Brain damage is caused by increased intracranial pressure, cause by masses, blood collection or edema. Lower altitudes, like jumping off a cliff, are not conducive to good health either.

It depends.......: If you have a simple skull fracture, you should be able to go to altitude without problems. If you have "pneumocephalus" (i.e., air in the cranium), the air might expand and cause problems (herniation). You probably need a head ct before you can fly.
