Unfortunately : Unfortunately there is not enough information to answer this question...Type of botox, sites and amounts of injection, and more specific information about your reactions. An allergic reaction will not last for months so something else may be occurring. I have not had any instances of flu like symptoms, or for that matter, headaches in over 13 years of performing injections. Of course it is possible to have an allergic to any medication. I might recommend sensitivity testing by an allergist.

Difficult ?: Headaches can sometimes happen after botox; your symptoms may be a reaction to the proteins in the Botox . You should have a discussion with your ps and consider using another one of the neuromodulators, after considering the pros and cons. Good luck.

Consider another : It is unusual to have such a reaction that lasted more than a few days. I would certainly be hesitant to try it again. Perhaps trying one of the other neurotoxins such as xeomin (incobotulinumtoxin a) or Dysport might be worthwhile?
