A member asked:

Is an enema bag with the tube good for bladder enema? or does it have to have a catheter? ones that are use specifically for that.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I : I am not sure if i understand your question correctly. An enema tube and bag is specifically designed for use in the rectum, to try to help resolve constipation. It would not be a sterile device. A urinary bladder catheter is a different device used to help empty the urinary bladder. A urinary catheter would be longer, softer, usually sterile, and designed specifically for the urinary system. Unclean catheters could cause urinary bladder infections. You would not want to use an enema tube for a urinary bladder condition, if i understand your question correctly.
