What do you do when you have an enlarged spleen? the hospital said i have an enlarged spleen and i keep getting infections. i'm going on my fifth one in three months.

Hello. : Hello. It would be important to know things such as whether your are immunosuppressed for any reason. Is the spleen enlarged due to your recent infections or is just consistently enlarged. There are many possible reasons for spleenomagly (enlarged spleen): mononucleosis, bacterial infections, aids, viral hepatitis, parasites, some types of anemia, leukemia, lymphomas, and a number of other disorders. If it hasn't already been done, i would ask your doctor to do a comprehensive workup so the that cause can be determined.
