I have a swollen lump about the size of a golf ball on the right side of pubic area and i am a man thought it may be an ingrown hair that festerd but now its big painful and very hard.

Hello. : Hello. Can't diagnose the cause of this mass. It could be a massively inflammed lymph node, possibly hydradenitis suprativa, an abcess, an infected cyst. If it is red, warm, has discharge, has swelling in the surrounding area has red streaks - or you have a fever - i would be seen at the er immediately. Due to it's size, regardless, it would be prudent to have it evaluated forthwith.
