This : This could represent a subconjunctival hemorrhage - a benign condition that is cause by a ruptured blood vessel in the conjunctiva. This typically causes a forein body senstion and not pain. It typically clears in 2-3 weeks. Redness due to allergies will always come with itch. Any time you have redness and pain or redness with reduced vison, you should see your eye doctor quickly.

Redness : Redness is a sign that there is a problem. I suggest that you see an ophthalmologist for an examination to determine the cause.

One : One possibility, if this occurs at the same time each year, is allergic problems. See an ophthalmologist to help figure this out so that you can get proper treatment.
