Your : Your grandson is very late to get his baby teeth in although that might be normal for him. He is at a good age to have his first check up with a dentist and that is the only way to find out what is going on.

Your : Your son should be receiving periodic dental examinations by a pediatric dentist at least once per year depending on his dental health . His delay in getting teeth may not be of concern since some children are delayed in that aspect. Your pediatric dentist will be able to tell you if he is just delayed or if there is a problem.

Relax: The variation of first tooth eruption is quite broad.A few will have teeth at birth and some don't get their first until 15 mo or so.It has nothing to do with their overall health or other developmental milestones. They all seem to get all their baby teeth in by age 3 or so, but it is one of the least predictable of baby events.
