IT's : It's hard to say what would be best for your without seeing your face. One can have a neck lift only depending on the situation. One concern would be that your skin may not have enough elasticity to shrink wrap appropriately afert neck lifting alone. A facelift would help with this redraping. The good news is that both facelift and necklift surgery can be customized for each individual to make sure the result is natural.

With : With what you describing, sounds like you should combine face and the neck at the same time. Good luck from nyc. For more info visit www.Drgrossman.Com.

If : If you have to ask, it is probably likely you would benefit from both. Isolated neck lifts may make the jowls appear more prominent. I would advise proceeding with both based on the limited information provided.

Necklift or facelift: Most people that need a neck lift want a well defined jawline. You need to operate above the area of concern, so to improve the jawline you need an incision in front of the ear and a facelift.

Probably: Although aging in the face neck region may be disproportionate, there is usually some aging in the lower two thirds (cheek jawline and neck) that can be improved with lifting. This is my preferred method nearly all of the time. Segmental lifting when very subtle, can work but if more extensive, may leave pleats and an abnormal appearance. Neck lift: A neck lift can tighten the neck while a facelift can improve jowling and reposition sagging tissues in the face. Have your face evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon. Discuss your surgical goals with your surgeon to come up with an operative strategy together.

Neck: If your neck is your main concern, and your plastic surgeon feels that an isolated neck procedure would address your concerns, that would be reasonable. Most of the time your neck contour is usually improved upon with a lower face/neck lift combo. However, if you have little issue with jowling or deepening nasolabial folds it wouldn't be necessary. Good Luck,
