If : If there is no pain or unusual drainage you probably don't have an ear infection. It's possible you pushed some of the wax further in and created an impaction. I would try to soften the wax (if still in there) with a couple day useage of something like debrox or ceruminex (otc), pick up a baby bulb syringe, and self irrigate your ears in a ear down position with luke warm water. Hopefully this will clear your ears. I not, somebody should lok in your ears to determine the cause.

Sometimes : Sometimes dry ear wax acts like a sponge and expands when it's soaked with water. That would be my guess in your case, that your ears are plugged with wax. You could try an over the counter kit to clean ear wax, but would probably be best to see your doctor. If you've had a lot of trouble with ear wax in the past, you may want to see an ent.
