Dizziness : Dizziness can be caused by a number of conditions, including those that affect balance organs (called the vestibular apparatus) in the "inner ear" (these problems are probably the most common sources of dizziness), and problems affecting the brainstem (these are probably less common, but can be much more dangerous). Telling the difference between these two groups of problems is very difficult, and requires a much more detailed story, an examination, and possibly testing.
