Alternative to omeprazole i have been prescribed omeprazole for stomach ulcer. i have had terrible side effects, dizziness, headaches, vertigo. what is an alternative to this that won't cause these side effects. i am 48 and female

You : You can try over the counter Pepcid twice a day until you see your doctor, or zantac (ranitidine). Your doctor can discuss your symptoms and alternatives at your follow up visit. Take care.
