This : This natural family planning(nfp) method also known as the rhythm method is about 70% effective. Generally speaking you can get pregnant 2 days before and 2 days after ovulation. This takes into account the fact that you really don't know 100% the exact time of ovulation, and the fact that sperm can survive inside your uterus up to 5 days maybe more. Condoms are more effective than the nfp method, or consider coitus interruptus(withdrawal method) in addition to nfp. Good luck!

Not really: Pregnancy has been documented on any day of a woman's cycle, including during menses. There are more fertile times, for those with predictable ovulation times, but some are irregular. The more irregular the more likely to ovulate at unpredictable times. In med school we called the rhythm method (timing) Vatican roulette. If it matters, use protection.
