Yes: Most patients are very emotional when they find out they have a sexually transmitted infection. This is normal. Remember that genital warts are treatable with topical medication or can be treated surgically. No one wants to have genital warts but other than being there they will not hurt you, make you sick or turn into cancer. They are very common.
