A member asked:

How do you prevent kids from swallowing toothpaste? our three year old seems to love the taste of toothpaste, and always tries to swallow it. other than reaching my fingers into his mouth to prevent it, what's the best way to stop this?

New : New orleans, as long as there is no Fluoride in the toothpaste, i'm not sure why you need to force the issue. I'm sure he will learn to spit out toothpaste at some point. And that is when you switch him to toothpaste with fluoride. Just keep the home cleaning solutions in high places. Hope this is helpful, michael i. Use non fluoride: Make sure you use a toothpaste without Fluoride so if your child swallows it nothing will happen with his health.

Kids be kids: Don't shove fingers down throat buy kids friendly toothpaste he will grow out it and you should put it for him just a small bead size and show him how to rub on his teeth.
