Hello. : Hello. I can't diagnose your lump. If it was purple and hard it could be a hematoma. This usually occurs when there has been an injury and the area fills with blood. It could be a lipoma, which is a fatty tumor, but usually these are fairly soft to the touch. If it pouches through your abdominal muscle, it could be hernia. It could be an cyst. If it doesn't resolve, have your doctor take a look at it. I don't know if it is dangerous, because it really needs to be examined to be diagnosed. Note; it is a hernia (abdominal contents) poking through a hole in the abdominal wall and it doesn't easily go back into your abdomen by pushing gently with your fingers - that should be evaluated promptly.
