Hello. : Hello. This is actually quite a complex issue. Of course, a doctor answering general questions on line can't diagnose your condition. One thing to remember is that many of these conditions share symptoms. For instance, a person with a borderline personality disorder could have a number of the symptoms listed above (rage, love / hate relations, self -harm, extremes of emotions as well as abuse of substances like nicotine or alcohol). A person with an anxiety disorder could also have some of the those symptoms (concentration problems, feeling easily overwhelmed and scattered, panic attacks). Depression is often seen in people with borderline personality disorder and of course is a symptom of bipolar ii disorder. Bipolar spectrum disorders can look very much like borderline symptoms. You can, see that making these diagnoses is not a black and white issue. In addition, many mental health providers are more used to diagnosing bipolar i than the other bipolar spectrum disorders (which might not present as clear cut). In addition these are often co-existing disorders. So a person with a bipolar disorder could also have a borderling personality disorder. Or a person with depression could have an anxiety disorder. It can be challenging to try to tease apart the symptoms. Aspergers is not always easy to diagnose. Making diagnoses for kids is much trickier than diagnosing adults. I imagine you may have seen a number of providers over the years. I have a number of patients that i adopted care of. Some had been diagnosed with depression but responded poorly to antidepressants over the years. I make it a policy to do my own comprehensive evaluation whenever some one's care is transferred to me. A number of these patients actually had bipolar ii disorder or bipolar disorder not otherwise specified. They were changed to mood stabilizers and were able to start reclaiming their lives.

Diagnoses: Can't DX via this format. You definitely need a consult with a good psychologist or psychiatrist. Ask around for best reputations from OB or internists. This is aspergers though. http://youtu.be/xg1ngp1ngds.

Consult an MD: It is best you see a reputable psychiatrist to get an accurate diagnosis. Often people can have comorbid conditions meaning that illnesses can coexist.
