The : The spotting you experienced could be implantation bleeding. Implantation bleeding is a small amount of pink/brown spotting some women will experience when the fertilized egg implants into the uterus - an early sign of pregnancy. Or it could just be spotting from recently being on the Depo-Provera shot. The only way to tell whether you are pregnant or not is to take a pregnancy test. As doctors, the first thing we do when we hear a woman is having a light or missed period or abnormal spotting, we check a pregnancy test. You can either take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5- 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period. A blood test can tell if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after conception and a doctor's urine pregnancy test can tell if you are pregnant around when you next period should come. Since your cycle is unpredictable from the recent Depo-Provera shot, you may want to wait 3-4 weeks after the last time you had unprotected sex to take a pregnancy test in order for it to be most accurate. Or you can just give your doctor a call. Good luck!
